Driver-Mentor Program celebrates 200th P plater
We have our 200th P plater!
Bella passed her learner driver’s test in Wagga Wagga the day after celebrating her 17th birthday and was surprised by some excited On-Country Pathways team members waiting to deliver the good news.
She joined our award-winning Driver-Mentor Program in February 2026, with 25 hours in her logbook.
Bella quickly clocked up the remainder of her 120 supervised driving hours with our awesome driver-mentors – including Mick, Katrina and Colina.
Now her sights are set on getting a job, hopefully in the traffic management industry. We might just be able to help there; Bella is also on our Job Placement Support Program which assists young mob into roles with supportive employers.
The fuel for our free program is subsidised by the legends at Lowes Petroleum Service and we are forever grateful to the Gibson Family Foundation for believing in us and supporting this program for young mob.
Thanks are also due to bus operator Kinetic for donating the four used Toyota Yaris cars that kicked off our program in 2022. Bella drove one on her test day!
