From Participant to Role Model: Breearna’s Journey

Success comes full circle, and Breearna’s story is a perfect example of the ripple effect created when young people are supported to reach their goals. 

In February 2025, Breearna joined our Driver Mentor Program after being referred by Joblink Plus in Cowra.

Like many of our participants, gaining her driver’s licence was about more than learning to drive, it was about creating opportunities, building confidence, and opening doors to employment and independence. 

Fast forward to today, and Breearna is thriving. 

From program participant to employee

Recently, while our team was at Joblink Plus conducting another Driver Mentor Program induction, we were delighted to run into Breearna, this time as an employee. She has now been working at Joblink Plus for six months as a Trainee Employment Consultant in her very first full-time role. 

In an incredible full-circle moment, Breearna is now helping locals find employment and referring participants into the very same On-Country Pathways programs that supported her own journey. 

Her achievements don’t stop there. Breearna is about to progress onto her Green P-plates and has recently purchased her very first brand-new car –  another exciting milestone that reflects just how far she has come.

What makes Breearna’s story even more special is that she continues to proudly share her experience with anyone who will listen, telling others about the positive impact On-Country Pathways had on her life. 

Stories like Breearna’s remind us that the work we do is about so much more than obtaining a driver’s licence. It’s about creating independence, building confidence, supporting meaningful employment, and empowering young people to become role models within their own communities. 

Congratulations, Breearna! We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved and wish you a very happy birthday for 25 July. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
