Acknowledgement of Country

On-Country Pathways delivers employment and career pathway programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth, and we acknowledge Australia’s First Nations People as Traditional Custodians of the many lands and waterways on which we deliver our programs. We pay respect to our Ancestors, who fought to keep culture alive through much adversity, and to our Elders, who continue keeping culture strong by teaching, guiding and mentoring today’s youth.

“I think without the program I’d still be back at 50 hours on my Ls, unable to get to TAFE and catching buses or walking everywhere.”

“If there are other young Indigenous women out there with an opinion about construction, I’d say ignore what you think you know, give it a go, call On-Country Pathways.”

“…we’ve ended up with a great employee.”

“It’s good, do it! It’ll help you get your hours up and you learn about gaining a job. After joining in January, it only took eight months to get my licence.”

“This program is a fantastic initiative, coupled with great support for the students and hosts from On-Country Pathways.”

“I think it is good that Darren is checking in.”

“Darren and Jebb did a talk about On-Country Pathways and the free programs they have and it piqued my interest. I thought, that would be a cool thing to do after school.”
