Read all about it: Bella is our 50th P plater

Year 12 student and aspiring journalist Bella joined our free Driver-Mentor Program in October last year with 80 supervised driving hours already under her belt.

In January she made the news herself – becoming the 50th young First Nations person to obtain her provisional driver’s licence with On-Country Pathways and get on the road to independence.

Once school is finished, Bella has her sights set on going to university in Melbourne and getting an internship with Channel 9.

Our NSW learner drivers can earn bonus hours in their log books by taking lessons with a licensed driving instructor – and we happen to have four of those!

Bella drove with our legendary driver-mentor Curtis. She said: “I wouldn’t have passed the test without Curtis. He was very kind and made me feel relaxed and comfortable.”

“Now that I have my licence, I can go where I want, when I want – it’s great.”
